I stopped by Nick Cannon’s office to conduct a couple of interviews. I got lucky enough to roam around and check out the recording studio some celebrities use to record their albums. I’m a picture freak, so I took a few pics. Check them out!
Nick’s Magazine, Celebrity High.
Found this frame of Mariah. Pretty cute!
Being Latina and breaking into the entertainment industry is not easy. Many of the most admirable women in the industry are Latinas. I truly admire every one of them for their hard work and representing the Latino community. Ever wonder how they got discovered? Every week I’ll pick one and write about how they started their careers. I did a little bit of research and this week I picked…
This Colombian hottie is my favorite. She is funny, smart, and beautiful. Sofia was discovered at the age of 17 by a photographer while tanning on a beach in Colombia. Her first acting role was in a Pepsi commercial.
She later transitioned to hosting. She hosted a few shows on Univision, the most recognized hispanic network. Of course her career doesn’t end there. Everyone wanted more of the charismatic Colombian. She took an acting role on: Big Trouble (2002), Chasing Papi ( (2003), Soul Plane (2004), Four Brothers (2005), Lords of Dogtown (2005), Meet the Browns (2008), Happy Feet(2011), and The Smurfs (2011). Films are not her only specialties, she also signed a contract with ABC to appear on Hot Properties, The Knights of Prosperity, and the most talked about show, Modern Family.
Sofia is also the new face of Diet Pepsi.
Sofia has a 2o-year-old son named Manolo Gonzalez. In interviews, she talks about Manolo always making fun of her heavy accent. It certainly looks like they have a good mother and son relationship.
-“In 1999 Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchú awarded Vergara the Hispanic Woman of the Year Award, commending her leadership skills representing the qualities Latina women have to offer to the world.”
– “In 2007 she was named one of The 25 Most Powerful Hispanic Women in the Entertainment Industry by The Hollywood Reporter and Billboard.”
– ” Studied pre-dentistry at the University of Columbia for three years. Only a few semesters were left to graduate before she moved to another country to pursue her acting/modeling career.”
I love Sofia. I can relate to her in a lot of ways, especially being a Latina :). Stay tuned for next week’s Hottest Latinas in the Entertainment Industry post!
I got invited to a soiree at a showroom a few weeks ago. The place was fancy, the food was great, and most importantly, I had amazing company. Pictures coming right up!…
Last night, I hosted a show called Rising Stars. The concept was about individuals getting started in the fashion and music industry. I interviewed a fashion designer and a LA based duo. We talked about what exactly inspired them to pursue their dream and much more. The cast and everyone else who was part of the show did an amazing job. It was an awesome experience. Can’t wait to do it again! 🙂
Waiting to get glammed-up…
Getting camera ready!
Making sure the script is written correctly on the teleprompter.
Lets get this show on the road!
Look Ma, I’m on TV! 🙂
Hello everyone! Let me start off with an apology for disappearing on you. I promise I’ll update more. Thank you for still visiting. I got surprised when I logged in and still had views, lol. Anyways, hope this beautiful weekend treated every one of you well. My weekend was awesome. I had the opportunity to spend time with my family back at home, some din-din and red carpet fun. My weekend went something like this…
I started off with dinner at my favorite spot in Glendale. I always order Risotto alla pescatora with a side of fried calamari. AMAZING!
As always, family time is the best. We watched the Mayorga vs Cotto boxing fight.
While some of you were still in bed, I headed out to the Annual John Varvatos Stuart House Benefit event early in the morning. All the media was suffering under the sun, including myself. I wore boots not knowing the event was taking place outside :(. Thank goodness for the team, they were nice enough to bring us water. Nonetheless, I had a great time conducting interviews and meeting new people.
More pictures from the event will be posted soon. Thank you all for reading!
I love this post I posted a while ago on thelipstickdiaries.Check it out!
Have you ever seen someone you’re feeling but as soon as you got to know them you noticed something that completely turned you off? That has probably happened to all of us at least once. I’m not that picky, but I honestly hate when a guy has dirty shoes or dirty finger nails. I can care less if a guy is good looking, he has to be clean. I also find being cheap a turnoff as well. One of my girls recently went on a date with a guy and he decided to take her to Mc Donalds. Now, I don’t have anything against that but for the first date, I find that pretty pathetic. The asshole didn’t even bother going inside, he took the drive thru and only offered ice cream! Unbelievable, right?
I think Physical features are great, but a guy must be clean and do a bit better than Mc Donalds for a first date . What are some of the things that turn you off?
As everyone knows, I’m constantly trying out new restaurants. The last few months I tried out a few burger joints which were amazing. Check out the pics and see it for yourself!
