Women Like Us Foundation

I received exciting news today. I am now part of WOMENLIKEUSFOUNDATION.ORG, an organization that caters to women worldwide. This is extremely exciting for me because I’ve always wanted to get involved in such movement. I attended my first meeting today to meet the team and discuss future projects. I was fortunate enough to obtain a writing position for Women like Us Foundation. This is a new chapter I’m starting, willing to put in my two cents to make a difference. Please visit womenlikeusfoundation.org to find out how you can help!

Sports Spectacular Event 2010

Last year I attended the Sports Spectacular Honoree event to conduct interviews on the red carpet. Many athletes were honored and received awards. This event also puts together an auction to raise money for the Cedars Sinai hospital genetic research program. I’m excited to announce that I’ll be conducting interviews again this year. I can’t wait! Here are the pictures from last year’s event.

The team and I 🙂

Glad I met this hard working woman!

A little fun after working is always good.

See you this year, Sports Spectacular!

Throwback: Interviewing B.O.B

I got invited to the Lexus Pre-Grammy party and interviewed B.O.B. He’s the sweetest interviewee I’ve encountered so far. Very nice guy.

Fun and smooth interview.

After the interview, I enjoyed VIP seats for his performance on stage.

I have a thing for bass players ;).

I haven’t posted any of my favorite poems lately. I found this one a while a go. I love it. A woman’s worth and strength cannot be compared to anything.

A Womans Worth

She gave life. She is a wife.
She is a mother and she is a friend.
She is a sister a survivor to the end.

Appreciate her, we don’t dare.
Ask her worries, we don’t care.
Wipe away her tears, they are invisible as air.

She works cooks and clean.
She laughs, helps comfort, and hides her pain.
When you struggle she pulls you through

All this is she and what do we do?
Complain and create a mess.
Provide stress and leave her feeling depressed..
Push her away and ignore her advice.
Tell her she is nothing without thinking twice.

She was raped tortured and abused.
Told she was nothing and would always be used just for pleasure forget her pain.

She swallows her pride, put her feelings aside.
Does as you need in order for you to be free.
Ignores your ignorance and tolerates your flaws.
You call her Bitch, Slut, Hoe and Tramp
She answers with pride dignity and a complete loss of self.
You call her nothing.
I call her Strong, Smart, Sensual, Caring, Giving, Surviving, Tolerant and powerful
I call her WOMAN!

Boy Crazy!

It’s rare to find a cute girl who is witty, funny, and admits she’s BOY CRAZY! I fell in love with Alexis Wasser when I was on THEHUNDREDS site. Check out her site. It’s pretty cool!
